LEGAL
Terms of Service
Effective July 29, 2026
These terms govern your use of Our Camera, a shared disposable camera app for trips. By creating a film, joining one, or otherwise using the app, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
The service
Our Camera lets a host create a shared "film", invite others to join, and have everyone shoot on a limited roll of photos that stay sealed until a reveal time. Revealed photos are available for download for 7 days, after which they are permanently deleted from our servers. The deletion window is part of the product, not a bug: save what you want to keep before it closes. The app is provided free of charge on a best-effort basis for films within the free capacity; we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, a specific response time, or that every feature will always be available, and we may change or discontinue features at our discretion.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Our Camera. By using the app, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
Accounts
- Signing in with Apple or Google is required for both hosts and guests. A film can be created or joined under a temporary anonymous session first, but you will be asked to link a real sign-in before you can keep using the app.
- You are responsible for activity that happens through your account and device.
- You can delete your account at any time in Settings. Photos you contributed to shared films remain available to the other members, attributed anonymously, until they expire on their normal schedule.
Your content
- You own the photos you take. You grant us only the limited license needed to store, process, and deliver them to the members of your film, which is what the app does, and to render your chosen camera-style look on your device.
- By shooting on a shared film, you agree that the film's members can view and save your photos after reveal.
- If the film belongs to a business ("brand") account (see below), you additionally agree that the company's administrators may view all of that trip's photos, including ones not yet revealed to other guests.
- Only photograph people who are okay with being photographed. You are responsible for the content you capture and share, including that you have the right to take and share it and that it does not violate someone else's privacy or other rights.
Acceptable use
Do not, and do not attempt to:
- Break the seal on unrevealed photos, including your own before their reveal time, or access another user's data without authorization.
- Upload or capture content that is illegal, that exploits or endangers a minor, or that infringes someone else's intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights.
- Use the app to harass, abuse, or endanger any person.
- Probe, scan, or attempt to disrupt the service, or bypass its capacity, payment, or reveal-timing rules.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the app beyond what applicable law permits.
We may investigate suspected violations and remove content, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Payments
Films above the free capacity can be upgraded for a fee, shown before you pay. On Android and web this is processed by Stripe; on iOS this is a native Apple in-app purchase processed through the App Store, as required by Apple for digital goods purchased in an iOS app. A purchase unlocks capacity for a specific film and is not refundable once the film has been used, except where required by law or, on iOS, under Apple's own refund policies (which we do not control).
Business ("brand") accounts
Some companies license Our Camera for their own group trips under a separate written agreement and pay us directly, outside the app. Films created under a business account have no capacity limit and no in-app payment prompts. If these terms conflict with that separate agreement for a business customer, the separate agreement controls for that customer; everything else in these terms, including this section's effect on guests who join a business account's trip, still applies.
Photo deletion is permanent
Photos are deleted from our servers 7 days after their film's reveal. We cannot recover them after that. It is your responsibility to download the photos you want to keep during the download window.
Intellectual property
We own the Our Camera name, logo, app design, and underlying source code. Nothing in these terms gives you a license to copy, modify, or redistribute any of it. This does not affect your ownership of your own photos, described under Your content above.
Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, OR THAT PHOTOS WILL NEVER BE LOST DUE TO A TECHNICAL FAILURE OUTSIDE THIS POLICY'S NORMAL DELETION SCHEDULE.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost photos beyond what these terms describe. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or 100 USD if you have not paid us anything. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or liabilities; in those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent the law there permits, and the limits above may not fully apply to you.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, damages, and reasonable expenses (including legal fees) arising from your content, your use of the app, or your violation of these terms or of someone else's rights.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access for violating these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including Disclaimers, Limitation of liability, and Indemnity, continue to apply after your account is terminated or deleted.
Changes
We may update the app and these terms as the product evolves; the effective date above will change when we do, and significant changes will be flagged in the app. Your continued use of the app after a change is posted means you accept the revised terms.
